Friday 16 June 2017 (1751) – Halton Borough Transport 10 (AE59 AWC) arriving at Stand 2 of Queen Square bus station in Liverpool bound for Widnes on service 14. During the daytime services terminate and start from Queen Square bus station but at peak times the services start from Lord Street. An Alexander Dennis (ADL) Enviro200 chassis with MCV Evolution bodywork new in September 2009. Driven I thought by a rather obnoxious impatient old turkey.

Friday 16 June 2017 (1032) – Halton Borough Transport 37 (DK03 NTD) seen at Queen Square bus station in Liverpool having arrived from Murdishaw, Runcorn and Widnes on service 14A. I had travelled on this East Lancs Myllennium bodied Dennis Dart from Green Oaks, Widnes. A most amenable driver – much more so than the one driving the bus on which I returned in the evening. The building on the left is the travel centre run by Merseytravel, the coordinating authority for public transport throughout the Liverpool city region, Southport and the Wirral. Note the famous Liver Birds that stand on top of the Royal Liver Building on the waterfront which can just be seen beyond the rooftop of the building in the centre of the photograph.
