Saturday 19 August 1995 – The passengers travelling on two coaches operated by Davian Coaches from Edmonton, North London alight for a refreshment and toilet break at the Picnic Area on the A1065 close to Fiveways roundabout at Barton Mills. Left is D29 CRC, a Plaxton Paramount 3200 bodied Scania K112CRS (with the low driving position) new to Bonas Coaches of Coventry in November 1996. Right is A61 SEV, a Berkhof Espirit bodied DAF SB2300 new in February 1984.

Two of the four coaches in this view are operated by Davian Coaches of Edmonton, North London. D29 CRC was leading (a Plaxton Paramount 3200 bodied Scania K112CRS (with the low driving position) new to Bonas Coaches of Coventry in November 1996) with A61 SEV following (a Berkhof Espirit bodied DAF SB2300 new in February 1984). MIW 3853, a Duple Caribbean bodied DAF, didn’t carry any identification. I have seen reference that it had been new in February 1984 to Whippet Coaches as A806 REW and that it was later operated by Richard Taylor Travel of St. Ippolytts near Hitchin, Britannia of Hitchin and D&G Coaches of Stevenage. The coach right behind it was actually operated by D&G so I suspect MIW 3853 could have been also.

Friday 6 July 2018 (1055) – Davian Coaches of Enfield, North London YN06 CKD seen at Leeds Castle in Kent. It is an Irizar PB bodied Scania K114 that had been new to Evergreen Coaches in April 2006.

Friday 6 July 2018 (1055) – Davian Coaches of Enfield, North London BX08 EZL seen at Leeds Castle in Kent. It is a 70 seat Polish built Autosan A1012T integral new in June 2008.

Friday 8 September 2023 (1128) – The driver of REL Davian YD19 HGM was delayed somewhat in St. Albans as he waited for two errant passengers that should have joined the four day break to the ‘Yorkshire Dales and Scarborough’. However, the couple sitting on the opposite side of the street were not the missing pair. YD19 HGM is a Yutong T122HDH new in June 2019. REL Capital now owns a number of different coach businesses including Davian ((North London), Reg’s Coaches of Welwyn, South Mimms Travel, Redwing (London) and John James Travel (Romford).

Standing in front is REL Davian YD19 HGM, a Yutong T122HDH new in June 2019, picking up on a four day break to the ‘Yorkshire Dales and Scarborough’.

It is a Caetano Levante bodied Scania K410 that was new to Travel de Courcey of Coventry in March 2017 for National Express work. It still carries the de Courcey fleet number MD39. REL Capital, which also owns Redwing Coaches and Essex based John James Coaches, acquired the Davian business in September 2020.

It is a Caetano Levante bodied Scania K410 that was new to Travel de Courcey of Coventry in March 2017 for National Express work. It still carries the de Courcey fleet number MD39. REL Capital, which also owns Redwing Coaches and Essex based John James Coaches, acquired the Davian business in September 2020.

Saturday 3 August 2024 (0950) – REL Davian Limited BV17 GOX seen heading eastbound on the A11 at Fiveways, Barton Mills working a private hire for an Enfield church. It is a Caetano Levante bodied that had been new to Mike de Courcey Travel (Note the MD34 fleet number on the front panel) in March 2017 for National Express contracted services. REL Davian and REL Redwing are part of REL Capital. Quite a number of their vehicles passed through during my hour at Fiveways.

Saturday 3 August 2024 (0950) – REL Davian Limited BV17 GOX seen heading eastbound on the A11 at Fiveways, Barton Mills working a private hire for an Enfield church. It is a Caetano Levante bodied that had been new to Mike de Courcey Travel (MD34) in March 2017 for National Express contracted services. REL Davian and REL Redwing are part of REL Capital. Quite a number of their vehicles passed through during my hour at Fiveways. The shrubbery can often become a minor obstacle at this spot and I have often taken my secateurs with me to remove bits of greenery like that which is almost covering the rear number plate on this photo! Didn’t take them along today though!!
