Sunday 8 April 2018 – The Amersham & District Motorbus Society Running Day replicated former London Transport Country Area (green) services in the Watford area. A network of services was operated by different former London Transport vehicles now preserved. The event was staged to mark the pending demise of the Garston Garage in North Watford during 2018. The garage was opened by London Transport in 1952.

Sunday 8 April 2018 (1153) – The Amersham & District Motorbus Society Running Day replicated former London Transport Country Area (green) services which were operated by preserved vehicles. AEC/Park Royal Routemaster RML2440 (JJD 440D) was new to London Transport in March 1966. It was seen at Watford Junction Interchange which was the focal point of the day.

AEC/Park Royal Routemaster RML2440 (JJD 440D) was new to London Transport in March 1966. It was seen at Watford Junction Interchange which was the focal point of the day.

Sunday 8 April 2018 (1049) – The Amersham & District Motorbus Society Running Day replicated former London Transport Country Area (green) services which were operated by preserved vehicles. AEC/Park Royal Routemaster RML2456 (JJD 456D) was new to London Transport in May 1966 and is seen leaving Watford Junction Interchange which was the focal point of the day. In the background between trips on its normal everyday duties is London Sovereign (RATP Group) ADH45258 (YY67 UUO), an Alexander Dennis Enviro400H Hybrid MMC new in February 2018.

AEC/Park Royal Routemaster RML2456 (JJD 456D) was new to London Transport in May 1966 and is seen at Watford Junction Interchange which was the focal point of the day.

Sunday 8 April 2018 (1045) – The Amersham & District Motorbus Society Running Day replicated former London Transport Country Area (green) services which were operated by preserved vehicles. AEC/Park Royal Routemaster RML2456 (JJD 456D) was new to London Transport in May 1966 and is seen at Watford Junction Interchange which was the focal point of the day. In the background on its normal everyday duties is Mullany’s Coaches HP08 BUS, a Wright Eclipse Gemini bodied Volvo (new in July 2012??), operating the shuttle to/from the Harry Potter Studios at Leavesden.

Sunday 8 April 2018 (1115) – The Amersham & District Motorbus Society Running Day replicated former London Transport Country Area (green) services which were operated by preserved vehicles. On board AEC/Park Royal Routemaster RML2440 (JJD 440D) which was new to London Transport in March 1966 as it pulled in to the Arriva garage at Garston (North Watford).

Sunday 8 April 2018 (1152) – The Amersham & District Motorbus Society Running Day replicated former London Transport Country Area (green) services which were operated by preserved vehicles. Former London Transport RF 226 (MLL 763), a Metro-Cammell bodied AEC Regal IV new in April 1952, one of the 263 of the RF class delivered for Green Line service work. It was working the 1126 service 347 from the former LT garage at Garston to Northwood Station. Garston garage is now operated by Arriva and the event was to mark its pending closure during 2018

Sunday 8 April 2018 (1057) – Red Rose Travel of Aylesbury YX10 BGV, an Alexander Dennis Enviro200 new to Centrewest (DML44163) in April 2010, seen in St. Albans Road, Watford. This may have been the 0933 service 501 from Aylesbury.

Sunday 8 April 2018 (1158) – Red Rose Travel of Aylesbury YX61 FZH, an Alexander Dennis Enviro200 new to First Capital (DM44265) in February 2012, seen at Watford Junction Interchange. It was operating the 1139 service W1 from Garston to Maple Cross. Standing behind is London Sovereign (RATP Group) ADE40406 (YX12 FNM), an Alexander Dennis Enviro400 that had been new to London United (also RATP Group owned) in June 2012 (ADE6).

Sunday 8 April 2018 (1305) – Red Rose Travel of Aylesbury YX61 FZE, an Alexander Dennis Enviro200 new to First Capital (DM44262) in February 2012, seen in Watford High Street on service 501 to Aylesbury.
