In the distance is a Chambers liveried Konectbus East Lancs Omnidekka bodied Scania N94UD about to turn right into Bull Lane as it headed to Lavenham and Bury St. Edmunds on the 1300 service 753 from Sudbury. Long Melford derives its name from its long main street. All along the main street there are numerous arts and crafts shops, tea shops, stylish clothing shops and hostelries which make it a popular place to visit. Just outside the village are Kentwell Hall and the National Trust’s Melford Hall.
