Friday 9 June 2017 (1042) – Sorry about the quality here. Platinum Express of Wolverhampton P10 TNM, a Polish built Volvo 9700 integral with Volvo B12B running units, seen at Fiveways, Barton Mills. I believe this coach was new to Callinan Coaches in Ireland in May 2008 registered 08 G 805 which then became SJ08 WAC in the U.K.

Friday 9 June 2017 (1012) – Richards Coaches of Dereham WA60 DZH, a VDL SBR4000 Synergy (Berkhof Axial 100) new in November 2010 to Ferris Holidays/JR Coach Travel of Nantgarw, South Wales. It was seen heading westbound at Fiveways, Barton Mills.

Friday 9 June 2017 (1012) – Richards Coaches of Dereham WA60 DZH, a VDL SBR4000 Synergy (Berkhof Axial 100) new in November 2010 to Ferris Holidays/JR Coach Travel of Nantgarw, South Wales. It was seen heading westbound at Fiveways, Barton Mills.

Friday 9 June 2017 (1020) – National Express Limited FJ11 GKX negotiating Fiveways roundabout at Barton Mills heading into Mildenhall when working the 0855 service 727 from Norwich (UEA) to Brighton service 727. It is a Caetano Levante bodied Volvo B9R new in June 2011 to Flights Hallmark.

Friday 9 June 2017 (1026) – A Mulleys Motorways Alexander ALX400 bodied Volvo B7TL seen at Fiveways, Barton Mills when working service 355 from Beck Row and Mildenhall to Bury St. Edmunds. It was new to Dublin Bus, Ireland.

Friday 9 June 2017 (1018) – The driver of Stephensons of Essex 462 (YX11 CTO), an Alexander Dennis (ADL) Enviro200 new in June 2011, was patiently waiting to enter Fiveways roundabout (so what’s new?) when working the 0950 Bury St. Edmunds to Newmarket service 16. Not many on board todays.

Friday 9 June 2017 (1018) – Stephensons of Essex 462 (YX11 CTO), an Alexander Dennis (ADL) Enviro200 new in June 2011, negotiating Fiveways roundabout at Barton Mills when working the 0950 Bury St. Edmunds to Newmarket service 16. It carries a rear end advert for the local radio station RWS FM 103.3. Haven’t listened to the station for a while but there used to be a DJ that had great difficulty with the pronunciation of the station name which was delivered as ‘One o FREE point FREE’. Arrgh!

Monday 5 June 2017 (1455) – Avanti Coach Travel of Blofield, Norfolk EDZ 114 seen negotiating Fiveways, Barton Mills heading eastbound. A Kässbohrer-Setra S250 that had been new in July 1998 as R762 NFW to Lincolnshire based family run Hodson Coaches. Nineteen years old and looking timeless.

Monday 5 June 2017 (1452) – Platinum Express of Wolverhampton TUI 4842 seen leaning on the curve at Fiveways, Barton Mills. It is a Van Hool Alizee bodied VDL first registered YJ57 BOU by the Arriva Coach Sales dealership in the Summer of 2007. It looked much smarter than it did in earlier photographs to be seen on the Internet when operated by the TGM Group.

Monday 5 June 2017 (1452) – Owen’s Coaches of Oswestry BJ16 KYS, a Mercedes-Benz Tourismo new in May 2016, seen negotiating Fiveways, Barton Mills heading eastbound. It was working a 5 days ‘Great Yarmouth and Norfolk Broads’ tour staying in Great Yarmouth.

Monday 5 June 2017 (1450) – Whippet Coaches NX09 (BX15 AHX), a Caetano Levante bodied Scania K440 new in March 2015, seen at Fiveways, Barton Mills when working the 1200 National Express service 490 from London (Victoria) to Norwich. It was running about 35 minutes late.

Sunday 4 June 2017 (1135) – Freestones Coaches YT62 HZX, an Irizar bodied Scania K360 new in November 2012, seen at Fiveways, Barton Mills when operating the 0930 Megabus service M16 from London (Victoria) to Norwich UEA (1215) and Norwich (1230).

Monday 5 June 2017 (1511) – Ulsterbus 139 (SFZ 6139), an Irizar i6 bodied Scania K360 new in May 2014, seen negotiating Fiveways, Barton Mills. It was working a 7 day ‘Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire’ tour from Northern Ireland and had left Belfast the previous morning staying at Walsall for the night. This was the second day of the tour which had made a call at Ely (1200-1430) and was now heading to Norwich where it would be based until Friday morning.

It was working a 7 day ‘Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire’ tour from Northern Ireland and had left Belfast the previous morning staying at Walsall for the night. This was the second day of the tour which had made a call at Ely (1200-1430) and was now heading to Norwich where it would be based until Friday morning.
