Monday 8 May 2017 (0900) – Edinburgh Coach Lines YSU 196, a Volvo 9700H integral, seen at the western end of Princes Street in Edinburgh by St. John’s Episcopal Church. I believe it was new as HT11 PBX.

Monday 8 May 2017 (0838) – Edinburgh Coach Lines operates a cross city service number 13 in Edinburgh linking Craigleith Shopping Centre to Lochend. YJ62 JWW, a MCV Evolution bodied VDL SB180 new in October 2012, was seen heading east along Princes Street.

Monday 8 May 2017 (0900) – Seen at the western end of Princes Street in Edinburgh by St. John’s Episcopal Church is Park’s of Hamilton LSK 844, a Plaxton Elite bodied Volvo B131T new in June 2016 working the Scottish Citylink service 900 from Glasgow. Park’s has a working relationship with Scottish Citylink to a point that some of their coaches carry their own fleet name on the colours of Scottish Citylink like this one. On the left is Lothian Buses 885 (SN08 BWX), a Wright Eclipse Gemini bodied Volvo B9TL new in June 2008. The rolling advert panel on the bus shelter is displaying an advert for the Bank of Scotland featuring Scottish actor James Cosmo who has appeared in films like Braveheart, Highlander, Game of Thrones etc.

Saturday 6 May 2017 (1142) – Edinburgh Bus Tours 651 (XIL 1484) is a Plaxton President bodied Dennis Trident that had been new to the main Lothian fleet registered as either SK52 OHM or SK52 OHN. (I will have to check this point out as there are conflicting references on the Internet). The bus has been part of the tours fleet for quite some time and now works the ‘3 Bridges Tour’ that runs out to the Forth rail and road bridges.

The rear and centre sections slide under the forward section. In this photograph the three sections can be seen. The mini-coach is based on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with body features by EWM. Sunday 7 May 2017 (0922) – Edinburgh Coachlines KIG 8857 heading into Queensferry Street, Edinburgh. It has Spanish built Farebus Califa bodywork built on MAN running units/chassis. It was new to Eirebus, Dublin, Ireland in March 2010 registered 10 D 12302. The white rectangle on the rear is an advertisement for a PCV driver.

Monday 8 May 2017 (0852) – Heart of Scotland Tours Limited operates tours for smaller groups marketed as The Wee Red Bus. Mercedes-Benz mini-coach SN16 BPX is seen in Princes Street, Edinburgh.

Monday 8 May 2017 (0847) – City Circle 81 (YT15 AUM), an Irizar i6 bodied Scania K410 new in April 2015, seen in Princes Street, Edinburgh. City Circle operates from bases close to London (Hayes, Middlesex) and Edinburgh (Newbridge).

Sunday 7 May 2017 (1717) – Stagecoach west Scotland 54121 (SP62 CGY) seen leaving Edinburgh bus station on the 1715 Megabus service M92 to Perth (1840) and Dundee (1910). A Plaxton Panther bodied Volvo B13RT new in October 2012.
