Simonds SN56 AGV in Stanton - 19 Jun 2024 (P1180579)

Wednesday 19 June 2024 (0920) - Simonds of Botesdale Limited SN56 AGV seen in Stanton when working the 0850 service 304 from Bury St. Edmunds to Diss.

It is a Wright Eclipse Gemini bodied Volvo B7TL that had been new to Lothian Buses (813) in December 2006. It had been operated by Xelabus (as G14 XEL) then Weardale Travel, Stanhope before joining the Simonds fleet.

In May 2024 the Simonds business was acquired by Vectare and the Simonds services are to be rebranded.

This was the second of four buses I travelled on today during a morning outing. The buses were:

Bus 2: Simonds SN56 AGV – Bury St. Edmunds to Stanton via Ixworth
Bus 3: Simonds BT13 YWF – Stanton to Bury St. Edmunds via Walsham-le-Willows
Bus 4: Mulleys LW51 ZHJ – Bury St. Edmunds to Mildenhall
