Ellisons Travel GFF 405 (FJ57 CYY) at the Travelodge, Barton Mills - 15 Jul 2009 (DSCN3267)

Wednesday 15 July 2009 (0612) – A rather striking Jonckheere bodied Volvo B12BT operated by Ellisons Travel of St. Helens, Merseyside which had been parked overnight at the Travelodge, Barton Mills. When new in September 2007 carried registration FJ57 CYY and had seating for just 36 passengers. The registration carried here was GFF 405 which has been carried by a number of different coaches in the fleet over the years.

The company specialises in top of the range corporate travel – at the time of the photo the company website at www.ellisonstravel.com stated that two such coaches had been added to the fleet used as team coaches for Bolton Wanderers and Everton football clubs. The site listed an illustrious client base which included various other premiership football clubs (Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur); sports teams (England’s Rugby Team, Harlem Globetrotters); music stars (Al Green, Crowded House, George Benson, Kylie Minogue, The Temptations, UB40) and Stephen Spielberg.
