Eagle of Bristol 94 SHU and Wallace Arnold M133 UWY at the Smoke House, Beck Row – 5 Jul 1996 (320-23A)

Friday 5 July 1996 – Before its closure circa 2008 the Smoke House Inn at Beck Row, near Mildenhall, Suffolk regularly had a couple of coach tours based there each week but this particular week there were actually four coaches visiting. Companies large and small from different areas of the country used it as a base for their five day tours to different East Anglian tourist spots like Cambridge, Constable Country, Norfolk Broads, Suffolk Villages etc. The coaches tended to arrive on Monday afternoons and leave on Friday mornings.
Two of the coaches this week were Eagle of Bristol 94 SHU, a Van Hool Acron bodied DAF and Wallace Arnold M133 UWY, a Plaxton Excalibur bodied Volvo B10M.
The other two coaches were Eagle of Bristol N993 FWT and Williamsons of Shrewsbury K153 DNT.
