Yorkshire Traction buses at Waterloo garage, Huddersfield – 22 Mar 1992 (158-10)

Yorkshire Traction buses at Waterloo garage, Huddersfield – 22 Mar 1992 (158-10)
Sunday 22 March 1992 – The Yorkshire Traction Company Limited garage at Waterloo, Huddersfield operates buses in standard (red) fleet colours as well as in the colours of the ‘local identity’ of County Motors, the latter was a company in its own right before the formation of the National Bus Company.

In this view are left to right:

623 (SHE 623Y), an Eastern Coachworks bodied Leyland Olympian in standard fleet livery which was new in January 1983.

707 (D707 NKY), an MCW Metrobus new in November 1986 which carries the County Motors blue and cream style livery.

666 (B666 EWE), an Eastern Coachworks bodied Leyland Olympian new in April 1985 which also carries the County Motors blue and cream style livery. (Such an interesting registration number which a devilish sheep farmer might have liked!)

The red ‘M’ logo on the buses indicates services supported or contracted by the West Yorkshire Metropolitan Area

Nouchetdu38, Fred Fouarge have particularly liked this photo
