East Yorkshire Scarborough & District 979 (RTH 928S) at Eastfield – 11 August 1994 (235-15)

Thursday 11 August 1994 (approx. 0730) – East Yorkshire Motor Services is the larger operator in Scarborough and runs its local services under the Scarborough and District name.

979 (RTH 928S), was an Eastern Coachworks bodied Bristol VR that had been new to South Wales Transport (928) in March 1978. It was however acquired from Berks Bus circa 1992. Seen at the garage in Dunslow Road, Eastfield.

Standing behind is Duple Dominant bodied Leyland Tiger number 28 which was new to London Country Bus Services as a Green Line coach in April 1983 as their TD23 (YPD 123Y). It was later re-registered to become OJI 7078. I believe the blue and yellow livery is that of the previous owner Kinch of Mountsorrel.
