West Midlands Travel 1517 (TOE 517N) in Stephenson Street, Birmingham – 23 Mar 1993 (188-4)

Tuesday 23 March 1993 - West Midlands Travel took over the bus operations of the West Midlands Passenger Transport Executive on 26 October 1986.

1517 (TOE 517N), a Leyland National 1 1351/1R new to the PTE (as 4517) in October 1974, seen Stephenson Street, Birmingham. A most amenable driver, pity the reflection covered him slightly.

Stephenson Street is somewhat different today. All the buildings on the right have changed and the roadway features Midland Metro trams. Here is a link to an August 2017 view at roughly the same spot:
