Friday 29 August 1997 (approx. 1310) – The Shires 3113 (L313 HPP), a Northern Counties Paladin bodied Volvo B6-9.9M new in February 1994, seen in Watton-at-Stone when working service 390 from Hertford to Stevenage.

The front of the vehicle carries fleet livery with ‘The Stevenage Line’ branding for services around Stevenage otherwise the remainder of the bus is in an all-over advertising livery for a local car dealership.

The Waggon and Horses pub in the background closed some years later and became a private residence in 2012.
