Midland Red South 5 (331 HWD ex BVP 787V) in Sibford Gower – 1 Jun 1993 (193-27)
Tuesday 1 June 1993 – Midland Red South Limited 5 (331 HWD) pauses at the junction of Main Street in Sibford Gower about to turn right into Pound Lane. It was working the Tuesdays only service X60 to Coventry, a shopper’s type of service, which originated at Hook Norton (0840) and travelling via various villages and towns including Banbury (0912) and Sibford Gower (0941).

It is a Plaxton Supreme bodied Leyland Leopard that was new for National Express service work in July 1980 registered BVP 787V.

(As is often the case, BT vans always seem to get in the way of my bus photography. I had been setting myself up for this shot for about 10-15 minutes when, just at the last moment the van which had been parked nearby, moved and parked on the corner!)

An interesting juxtaposition of the spiffy old thatch and the spiffy new bus.
