Preserved Midland Red garage entrance in Leicester - 27 Jul 2019 (P1030366)

Saturday 27 July 2019 (1354) – Tucked away in Peacock Lane, Leicester is what was once a doorway forming part of the Midland Red (Southgate Street) garage. When the site was redeveloped the doorway, a listed building, was preserved and integrated into the new development. The plasterwork features the word ‘Midland’. A short distance from here is the Richard III statute and visitor centre and a ‘RIII’ banner hangs from the lamp post.
