East Yorkshire 761 (YX09 GWF) in Hull - 2 May 2019 (P1010211)
Thursday 2 May 2019 (1500) – East Yorkshire 761 (YX09 GWF) seen on a rather damp afternoon in Ferensway, Hull. It is a Wright Eclipse Gemini bodied Volvo B9TL that was new in July 2009 which wears a promotional livery for contactless card payments.

In June 2018 after thirty one years of independent ownership East Yorkshire became a subsidiary of the Go-Ahead Group.

I don't know of any particular significance Richard other than it might relate to model and style updates.

The Eclipse Gemini has had changes to the frontal design and my photograph (link below) featuring a line-up of the type enables a comparison to be made between two buses both of which are on Volvo B9TL chassis (Fifth and sixth from the left). 756 (YX09 BKO) was delivered in March 2009 and 773 (YX59 FGZ) was delivered in January 2010. The latter has a different layout of lights and clusters (as has the bus in the above photo) also it has the chrome surrounds around the emblem. Is that what you were thinking about?

It was Tony Blackman who set up the 'Halifax Joint Committee' business using the colours of the erstwhile Borough Council operation that was the 'Halifax Joint Omnibus Committee'. Tony began running a heritage bus service using a preserved former HJOC AEC double decker and went on from there.
