Monday 1 February 1993 - Autobussen Alpaerts 106118 (151 P7), a MAN powered Van Hool A120 integral new in September 1981, seen passing Mechelen Town Hall working De Lijn service 56 to its home town of Lier travelling via Koningshooikt where the Van Hool factory is located.

Alpaerts was a contractor to NMVB prior to the formation of De Lijn in 1991. Both these national bus and tram companies operate(d) their own bus and tram fleet which carried four digit fleet numbers. The buses operated by contractors carry six digit fleet numbers – the first four digits relate to the NMVB contract number with the final two digits are the operators own fleet number.
