Cambridge Coach Services D848 KVE at Huntingdon - 4 Nov 1990

Sunday 4 November 1990 - Cambridge Coach Services 348 (D848 KVE), a Van Hool Alizee bodied Volvo B10M new to Premier Travel in 1987, seen at Huntingdon bus station having worked a feeder from Sawston and Cambridge to connect with the day excursion to Alton Towers fun park. A laser and firework display was the added attraction at the normal fun rides at the park today. The coach then went on to work the 1045 hrs Cambridge to Gatwick Airport service 79 and the 1445 hrs service 78 back. In my notes I wrote that the coach became a ‘pig to drive’ on the homeward stretch between Luton and Cambridge with gear selection becoming very difficult.
