Rapsons V943 JST at Knutsford Service Area in the middle of the night - 27 Mar 2001

Tuesday 27 March 2001 (0250) - Rapson's Coaches 645 (V943 JST) seen at Knutsford Service Area in Cheshire during a break when operating the 2300 overnight London to Inverness National Express service 588. It was due to arrive in Inverness at 1126. I travelled on this service between Milton Keynes and Glasgow.

The driving arrangements were interesting. The first driver drove from London to Forton Service Area near Lancaster taking a break at Knutsford where a second driver, who had travelled from Scotland on the southbound overnight service, joined the coach riding as passenger. At Forton the coach made a very quick 'pit stop' and the drivers changed over. The first driver then rode as passenger to Glasgow and from there drove from Glasgow to Inverness.
