Birmingham Coach Co X422 WVO at Bragbury End - 2 May 2002

Birmingham Coach Co X422 WVO at Bragbury End - 2 May 2002
Thursday 2 May 2002 (approx. 0814) – Commencing 25 March 2002 the National Express service 777 Birmingham to Stansted Airport service saw a change of contractor from Stort Valley Coaches to Birmingham Coach Company. The service was also re-routed between Luton Airport and Stansted Airport with coaches serving Hitchin, Stevenage and Standon (close to the A10 road) rather than via London Colney (near St. Albans) and Hatfield. Birmingham Coach Company X422 WVO was seen at Bragbury End near Stevenage as it worked the 0500 departure from Birmingham to Stansted Airport. It was a Van Hool Alizeé bodied Scania K124 new in January 2001 which carried lettering and livery for the London-Birmingham ‘Express Shuttle’ service which had nothing to do with service 777.
