Wayland M242 AEX in Mildenhall - Sunday 28 May 1995 268-34
Sunday 28 May 1995 (1225) – Suffolk County Council sponsored a network of Sunday bus services for a few years which brought some different operators into Mildenhall. Wayland Mini-buses of Beccles began operating the Lowestoft to Cambridge service 201 today which, since it coincided with the Mildenhall Air Fete, resulted in a diversion and a revised pick-up point in New Street rather than King Street for this day only. M242 AEX was a Marshall SPV bodied Mercedes-Benz 711D and was seen turning from New Street into High Street when working the 0929 service from Lowestoft. Only 12 minutes late it had done extremely well considering the heavy traffic encountered on air fete days.
