Burtons CoachesH621 ACK (Hamlet Road, Haverhill) - 12 May 2007 (570-30A)

Saturday 12 May 2007 - Burtons Coaches Limited had only recently acquired this former Stagecoach Wales Alexander PS bodied Volvo B10M-55 for school contract work. It still carried Stagecoach fleet number 20421 and advertisements for the Aberdare branch of Halfords, the nationwide cycle and motor spares/accessories retailer. The bus didn't feature in my rota so I didn't get to drive it normally although I did so today when it was used as a ‘pool car’ between the garage and the bus station. I paused in Hamlet Road to get this picture. The bus was new to Burnley and Pendle (number 21) in December 1990. In 1997 Burnley and Pendle was taken over by Stagecoach Ribble and the bus passed into Stagecoach ownership where it wasn’t out of place as Stagecoach bought the Alexander PS bodied Volvo B10M-55 in large numbers.
