Paris Rapide timetable 1976
In 1974 the 'Paris Rapide' service was launched as a joint service by Yelloway, National Travel (North West), British Rail Hovercraft (Seaspeed) and SNCF French Railways which linked Rochdale, Oldham and Manchester with Boulogne, Amiens (soon withdrawn) and Paris. The service lasted for four summer seasons. The coaches of Yelloway and National Travel operated under the umbrella of the LASCO (Lancashire Airports and Seaports Consortium) road service licences and did not travel beyond Dover.
