DSCN0951 First Devon & Cornwall T472 YTT
Saturday 8 June 2013 (1119) – First Devon & Cornwall 42472 (T472 YTT) seen setting down in Market Jew Street Penzance on service 10A from Madron. An Alexander ALX200 bodied Dennis Dart new to Western National in June 1999. The statue above the rear of the bus is Sir Humphrey Davy, one of the leading scientists of the 19th century born in these parts, who invented the miner’s safety lamp and also discovered that nitrous oxide could be used as an anaesthetic. (Unfortunately in this photograph he has a gull sat on his head!)
