** POUR PASCAL ** Au XVIe siècle le Château de Foulletorte est construit sur l'emplacement d'un ancien château fort. Il est entouré de douves, alimentées par la rivière Erve. Un pigeonnier s'élève dans la presqu'île jouxtant la cour (voir 1er PiP). Sa taille inhabituelle prouve (par le nombre de nids de pigeons qu'il contient) que 800 couples de pigeons y nichaient. La propriété est impressionnante : 2 hectares de toiture, 1 hectar de douves et plus de 5000 m² de sol ! THE CASTLE MIRRORED IN WATER. Foulletorte Castle was built in the 16th century on the site of an old fortress. It is surrounded by a moat fed by the River Erve. A dovecote stands on the peninsula adjoining the courtyard (see 1st PiP). Its unusual size proves (by the number of pigeon nests in it) that 800 pairs of pigeons nested here. The property is impressive: 2 hectares of roof space, 1 hectar of moat and over 5000 m² of floor space! DAS SCHLOSS IM WASSER GESPIEGELT. Im 16. Jh. wurde das Schloss Foulletorte an der Stelle einer alten Burg errichtet. Es ist von einem Wassergraben umgeben, der vom Fluss Erve "gespeist" wird. Auf der an den Hof angrenzenden Halbinsel erhebt sich ein Taubenschlag (siehe 1. PiP). Seine ungewöhnliche Grösse beweist (durch die Anzahl der darin befindlichen Taubennester), dass hier 800 Taubenpaare nisteten. Das Anwesen ist beeindruckend: 2 Hektar Dachfläche, 1 Hektar Wassergraben und über 5000 m² Bodenfläche !

In this garden there is an old manor house that has been uninhabited for some time. The grounds were unkempt and looked rather run-down. The other day I drove past again and saw that there had been some changes: the house was inhabited again, the garden had been beautifully decorated and, above all, the two large trees at the entrance (see PiP) had been felled. The site now features a squirrel and doe, carved directly from the trunks. ACCUEILLIS PAR DEUX ANIMAUX DE LA FORÊT. Dans ce jardin, il y a une ancienne maison de maître qui n'était plus habitée depuis un certain temps. Le terrain n'était pas entretenu et semblait plutôt délabré. L'autre jour, je suis repassée par là et j'ai vu qu'il y avait eu quelques changements : la maison était à nouveau habitée, le jardin joliment aménagé et surtout les deux grands arbres à l'entrée (voir PiP) avaient été abattus. A l'emplacement se trouvent maintenant un écureuil et une biche, directement sculptés dans les troncs. WILLKOMMEN GEHEISSEN VON ZWEI WALDTIEREN. In diesem Garten gibt es ein altes Herrenhaus, das schon länger unbewohnt war. Das Gelände war ungepflegt und sah eher verkommen aus. Neulich bin ich wieder mal dort vorbei gefahren und sah, dass es einige Änderungen gab : das Haus war wieder bewohnt, der Garten schön hergemacht und vor allem die beiden grossen Bäume am Eingang (siehe PiP) waren gefällt. An der Stelle stehen jetzt ein Eichhörnchen und ein Reh, direkt aus den Stämmen geschnitzt.

The castle of Sainte-Suzanne (11th century) was the scene of numerous conflicts, particularly during the Hundred Years' War, and entered history when William the Conqueror tried in vain to conquer it from 1083 to 1086. Il est entré dans l’histoire à l’occasion de la vaine tentative de Guillaume le Conquérant pour s’en emparer, de 1083 à 1086. DIE BANK VOR DER ALTEN STADTMAUER. Die Burg von Sainte-Suzanne (11. Jh.) war Schauplatz zahlreicher Auseinandersetzungen, insbesondere während des 100-jährigen Krieges. Sie ging in die Geschichte ein, als Wilhelm der Eroberer von 1083 bis 1086 vergeblich versuchte, sie zu erobern.

The Aubigné estate was first mentioned in a cartulary in 1103. The manor house was built in the 15th century with a polygonal turret, a staircase tower with an acute roof and a drawbridge (no longer in existence). It is surrounded by two outbuildings, the one on the right now houses the owners' professional activities: an interior architecture consultancy and a workshop for the restoration and creation of Chinese lacquerware. Le manoir est construit au XVe siècle avec cette tourelle polygonale, une tour d'escalier à toit aigu et un pont-levis (aujourd'hui disparu). Il est entouré de deux longères formant les communs. Celle de droite abrite de nos jours l'activité professionnelle des propriétaires : un bureau d'études d'architecture intérieure et un atelier de restauration et création de laques de Chine. WENN ICH HIER WOHNEN WÜRDE, HÄTTE ICH DIE STROMKABEL UNTERIRDISCH VERLEGEN LASSEN ! Das Anwesen von Aubigné wurde 1103 erstmals in einem Kopialbuch erwähnt. Das Herrenhaus wurde im 15. Jh. mit einem polygonalen Türmchen, einem Treppenturm mit spitzem Dach und einer Zugbrücke (heute nicht mehr vorhanden) erbaut. Es ist von zwei Nebengebäuden umgeben, das rechte beherbergt heute die berufliche Tätigkeit der Besitzer: ein Büro für Innenarchitektur und eine Werkstatt für die Restaurierung und Kreation von Chinalack.

Le Château de la Grande-Courbe est un édifice seigneurial, avec tours et jardins. C'est un exemple remarquable de l'évolution d'un habitat seigneurial du XIIIe au XVe siècles, entouré de douves en eau comportant deux grandes salles médiévales, une tour et sa chambre haute ainsi qu'un jardin Renaissance. C'est une aubaine pour un photographe, avec de nombreux motifs de photo à tous les coins. WELCOME TO THE CASTLE. The "Grande-Courbe" is a manor house with towers and gardens. It is a remarkable example of the evolution of a seigneurial dwelling from the 13th to the 15th centuries, surrounded by a moat with two large medieval rooms, a tower and its upper chamber, as well as a Renaissance garden. It's a photographer's paradise, with numerous photo opportunities at every turn. WIllKOMMEN IM SCHLOSS. Die "Grande-Courbe" ist ein herrschaftliches Anwesen mit Türmen und Gärten. Es ist ein bemerkenswertes Beispiel für die Entwicklung eines Herrschaftssitzes vom 13. bis 15. Jh., umgeben von Wassergräben mit zwei grossen mittelalterlichen Sälen, einem Turm und seinem Obergemach sowie einem Renaissancegarten. Für einen Fotografen ein "gefundenes Fressen", an allen Ecken und Enden gibt es zahlreiche Fotomotive.

This place of worship called "Longue-Avette grotto" dates back to the 11th century and is blessed since the 19th century. It is topped by a statue of Saint Michael slaying the dragon. The Assumption is celebrated here every 15 August. It used to be a tradition for brides and grooms to place their bouquets here. IL Y AURA DU MONDE ICI LE 15 AOÛT... Ce lieu de culte appellée "Grotte de Longue-Avette" date du XIe siècle et est bénite depuis le XIXe. Il est surmonté d’une statue de Saint Michel terrassant le dragon. Tous les 15 août, des fidèles y célèbrent l’Assomption. Dans le temps, la tradition voulait également que les mariés déposent leurs bouquets ici HIER WIRD VIEL LOS SEIN AM 15. AUGUST. Diese Kultstätte genannt "Grotte von Longue-Avette" stammt aus dem 11. Jh. und ist seit dem 19. Jh. geweiht. Auf der Spitze steht eine Statue des Heiligen Michael, der den Drachen besiegt. Am 15. August feiern Gläubige dort das Fest Mariä Himmelfahrt. Früher war es auch Tradition, dass Brautpaare hier ihre Blumensträusse niederlegten.
