Il y avait foule, ce jour-là à Paimpol...
Au XIXe siècle Paimpol est le premier port de France à la pêche au large. Les marins partaient des côtes bretonnes vers Terre-Neuve puis vers l’Islande pendant 6 mois pour pêcher la morue. Aujourd'hui, il n’y a plus de hauturiers, mais la ville est toujours l'un des principaux ports de pêche et de plaisance de la Manche.

Sailors set off from the Breton coast to Newfoundland and then to Iceland for 6 months to fish for cod. Today, there are no longer any deep-sea fishing boats, but the city is still one of the most important fishing and yachting ports on the English Channel.
GROSSER ANDRANG AN DIESEM TAG IN PAIMPOL... Im 19. Jh. war Paimpol der erste Hafen für Hochseefischerei in Frankreich. Die Seeleute fuhren von der bretonischen Küste 6 Monate lang nach Neufundland und dann nach Island, um Kabeljau zu fangen. Heute gibt es dort keine Hochseeschiffe mehr, aber die Stadt ist immer noch einer der wichtigsten Fischerei- und Jachthäfen am Ärmelkanal.

Et à Noël cette morue avec des légumes cuits à l'eau, huile d'olive pur et rouge vrai.
