Crikey, Carol. That is beautiful. Enlarged it is even better. It may have been foul weather but you've overcome any difficulties and, as you say, the swans don't care about the rain. Happy World Photography Day. This image fights against our unsettled times and shows that our concerns ain't worth a hill of beans. Ain't life grand.

When I think of some of the place you visit where life is harsh and yet the people still smile and enjoy what they have, and enjoy sharing those times with you.

To all Sarah O'Brian's ipernity friends ~ Sad News

Dear Nick. My husband has passed away/((((((((((!! He had a massive brain bleed and the hospital told us in the Savannah, Georgia Hospital there was nothing they could do to save his life!!! if you will and have time. please fell our mutual ipernity friends know, it is such a tough time for me and my two sweet, caring boys and daughters in laws and 3 precious granddaughters!! Thanks Nick. I love all of my great friends in the U.K.

This is the weather we are having gray days and rains. We do need the water in the dams thats for sure. ours are Black swans nice to see the white.

What a wonderful scene. Your eye for a nature scene is obviously quite good. I really like how the water's edge on the right is jagged, very unusual.

Is this a place you chose for the day? I mean, what inspired you to choose this for our event? Perhaps you come often, or maybe you made a special trip?

The Somerset Levels is really close to home and is a place we love to visit as there is always something of interest to see. whether it be herons, egrets butterflies, swans or maybe just the light across the landscape. It was just nice to share a place that means a lot to us, especially as we are able to get out of the town and enjoy the peace of the countryside.

How lovely to have Somerset Levels near you. I have lots of nature around me, including lots integrated into the city itself (lots and lots of trees in our city, even downtown). But it is mostly forest, not scenes like this. So thank you for sharing your special place with us!

Trees should be essential in any city I believe. Not only do they bring the countryside into the city but they bring a sense of calm and serenity. I am pleased to hear you have them in your city too.

We are quite lucky in that we have the Levels, and nauture reserves close by, but also have beaches and the Quantock Hills where you can walk and enjoy the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with the trees, gorse and the wild horses, but I love to see places where other people live and their own special places.
