Tumbling Down HFF

Tumbling Down HFF
St Ninian's Chapel, Isle of Whithorn, The chapel and the surviving part of the enclosure wall date back to about 1300. It seems to have been built on the site of a narrower chapel dedicated to St Ninian in the 1100s,

Thank you very much Janet. I really enjoyed visiting this area. This is quite an exposed spot so can be quite chilly though. I imagine it would have been quite cold inside the chapel even when it was intact. Have a good weekend

Thank you very much Guni. Yes I know what you mean. This is steeped in history and was a stopping off point for pilgrims.

Best wishes Carol
