Stable Doors

Grenville Cottage, Brixham Harbour - these traditionally styled stable doors are set into the cliff face at Brixham and form part of a charming decorative scene that includes this fisherman's cottage and 'beach' garden. Palm trees, shingle, a little boat and an array of nets, ropes and lobster pots all add to the effect, delighting visitors of all ages. It was all created, and is maintained by 'Pride in Brixham' volunteers.

Many thanks Malik. Very much appreciated. The volunteers have done a great job putting together little scenes, - the details are delightful. One of the parts has a fisherman and floats and there is even a set of wooden stairs leading up to another door. I can't imagine how long it took to create. Have a lovely evening and good weekend

Thank you very much Pam. Really appreciated. I am sure you would love the scenes they have created, - there are some lovely touches. They have made a fisherman for their beach scene and have even put in a wooden staircase to another door to a higher level. I was very impressed.

Years ago in England I painted a whole wall in a passageway outside for friends. Plants and insects... a topiary tree ! a window with painted on shutters.. another loking out over fieilds to a church and sheep grazing. I loved doing it.

I also did a mermaid on the rocks of a lighthouse in my bathroom in the UK !

As well as all the beach items there are other doors, one complete with milk bottle, and a proper staircase leading up to a door sett further up in the cliff. Have a lovely weekend
