Bridge over the River Derwent by Kirkham Priory
Constructed in 1806. By John Carr. The bridge has one pointed arch and two segmental arches divided by cutwaters forming refuges on the narrow road. Now grade II listed.

The bridge has certainly undergone repair/conservation in fairly recent years as can be seen from the lighter coloured stones. I doubt this was the first bridge in this location, the monks would need some easy way to cross the river, unless of course they could walk on water!
