Seit Neuestem wird in Franken vermehrt Inkarnat-Klee oder Blutklee (Trifolium incarnatum) angebaut, wodurch die Landschaft durch intensives Dunkelrot geschmückt wird. Er stammt aus dem Mittelmeerraum. Da bei uns kaum noch ausgeprägte Frühjahrsfröste vorkommen, kann er auch bei uns zur Futtermittelgewinnung angebaut werden.
