Ein Blick von der Dachterrasse der VR-Bank auf den Würzburger Marktplatz mit Weihnachtsmarkt. Im Bild links die gotische Marienkapelle, die anstelle der 1349 nach einem Judenpogrom zerstörten Synagoge zur Sühne errichtet wurde. In dieser Mordnacht am 21. April wurde das gesamte Judenviertel mit Synagoge zerstört und die Juden größtenteils ermordet.
