our new meat safe
We have cryovac sealed our prosciutto and salami, and it should be kept in a cool place, so we have had it all in the crisper of our refrigerator, but it takes up too much space. We decided to make a basic underground fridge, so we sunk a milk can (from Ad's parents' Boskoop dairy) into the ground. It is rat proof and should be waterproof too.
