green tomato sauce
Due to our late summer, we had a bad crop of tomatoes this year. By the time the flowers had formed, it was getting late in the season. We had a lot of green tomatoes left, and I never know what to do with them. We made fried green tomaytoes once but were underwhelmed. We don't eat pickles or relishes. And then we had some green tomato sauce at our froggy friend Noëlle's house, and I knew what I had to do. I asked Noëlle for her recipe, made a few changes, and together with Jennifer made 4kg of green tomatoes into something fabulous.
