Happy weekend too and thank you, Annemarie! The prison is in "Guantanamo Bay", which is in a distance of about 25 km south of the town of Guantanamo.

Since the Cuban Revolution of 1959, the Cuban government has consistently protested against the U.S. presence on Cuban soil and called it illegal under international law, alleging that the base was imposed on Cuba by force.

I just loved to be in Guantanamo in 2012. Not much tourists and awfully authentic with a few Ladies in high heels as you already know Berny !

A beautiful building and series, Berny. What a pity the place name will always be associated with that awful concentration camp.

What a magnificent old building..........and very photogenic! I love the composition Berny and you've captured it perfectly. I even like the web of wiring - which is not something I often say but I have come to expect it in photos from Cuba!
