Cotton Spinning Mill - Steam Engine
This is what's left from the Cotton Spinning Mill "Gebrüder Gradner" in Oberwaltersdorf (Lower Austria), later the Braids and Laids Factory "A. Rudolph". The Factory was built in 1819-1821. The production ended 1941, when the arm industry occupied it and operated it as precision parts factory, where among others parts for the V2 rocket were manufactured. All the buildings are now converted to lofts. Only the old giant 2-cylinder steam engine from 1895 remained. The big flywheel has a diameter of about 6 m. Ernst Doro club has replied to ©UdoSm clubBut "they" didn't use the V belt it was the almost 300 mm large black rubber compound.
Even in this state of decay you can still see how magnificent it must have been. Three super photos Berny!
