York Historic Vehicle Group Rally 2011
This is another local show that I like to try and attend if I can.
It is organised by the York Historic Vehicle Group (YHVG), which was formed to bring together people who were interested in old road vehicles: ranging from motorcycles to cars, lorries and buses.
Shortly after the establishment of the club, a rally was held on the York Racecourse, off Knavesmire Road, and this event has been held… (read more)

1960 Austin A55 Cambridge - OFF 717
1957 Chevrolet GMC Bel Air - 624 XUK
The Chevrolet Bel Air was produced by the Chevrolet division of General Motors for the 1950–1975 model years. Hardtops in the Chevrolet Deluxe Styleline model range were designated with the Bel Air name from 1950 to 1952, but it was not a distinct series of its own until the 1953 model year.
Bel Air production continued in Canada for its home market only through the 1981 model year.
1967 Bond GT 4S 1300 - SYR 206F

Could have done without the awful multi-coloured wind breaker in the background reflecting all down the side of the car, but despite that I thought it worth posting this photo given how rare these cars are. I believe there were less than 600 of these manufactured.
1969 Volkswagen Transporter Type 2 (T2) - VUK 68H
One of my favourite VW models in my favourite colour! That said, I'd probably rather have a split screen.
1964 VW Campervan Type 2 (T1) - ONW 469B
And for the purist, here is a split screen. Have to say I'm not sure about the colour scheme, but each to their own.
1987 Citroën 2CV 6 Dolly - E291 CUF
1966 Sunbeam Alpine - GNN 641D

Lovely old British sports car .... just a shame about the plastic fencing and that awful tape in the background!
Volvo P130 Amazon - UON 150H - Details Unknown
Sadly, I can't confirm the exact year or the specification of this old Volvo as the DVLA no longer have any record of it.
1960 Ford Prefect 107E - 3155 UG
This was apparently a reworked 100E body with the new 997cc overhead valve engine.
On test, it recorded a top speed of 73 mph (117 km/h) and acceleration from 0-60 mph (97 km/h) in 27.2 seconds. A "touring" fuel consumption of 36 miles per gallon (imperial) was also recorded and on the home market, it cost £621, including taxes.
Optional extras included a heater, windscreen washers, radio and leather upholstery to replace the standard PVC.
1978 Volvo 244 DL - BLU 527T

In August 1974, Volvo presented a new generation of cars called the 240 and 260 Series. These new models had been developed from the 140 series and were very similar to their predecessors.
Volvo's 240 model almost became a classic in its own lifetime as it was produced for nearly 20 years. On two occasions, the car was given a facelift, for the 1981 and 1986 model years. In all, more than 2.8 million cars in the 240/260 series were built.

Bentley Arnage - T821 JCC - Details Unknown
The Bentley Arnage was a large luxury car produced by Bentley Motors in Crewe, England from 1998 to 2009. The Arnage, and its Rolls-Royce-branded sibling, the Silver Seraph, were introduced in the Spring of 1998, and were the first entirely new designs for the two marques since 1980.
Sadly, I can't confirm the exact details of this gorgeous example as DVLA no longer have a record of it.
1962 Cadillac Sedan De Ville - PFF 306

Funny how there are some cars you never tire of seeing or for that matter shooting ... this, for me at least, is one of those cars!

I know what you're thinking ... that's one happy looking dog. Well, if you'd seen his mistress then you'd understand why.
1985 Ford Sierra XR3i - B143 BVW
1956 Chevrolet GMC Bel Air - WSU 798
1987 Ford Sierra RS Cosworth - D831 XRN
1970 Volvo P130 Amazon - WHU 709H
The Volvo Amazon was manufactured by Volvo Cars from 1956 to 1970 and so this two-door model from 1970 would have been among the last to have been manufactured.
It was powered by the newly designed B20 engine which was used from 1969 to 1981 in various Volvo models including the 1800, 140, and 240 series.
1990 VW Golf GTI Mk2 - H62 TEX
The ultimate hot hatch in many people's opinion. I'm guessing this one is from 1990 as DVLA don't have it listed meaning I've been unable to confirm exactly when it was manufactured.
