Lake Mapourika It is the largest of the West Coast lakes. The water from the glacier melt is no longer drained into the lake, it is filled with fresh rainwater. This flows through the forest floor, collecting various tannins that give it the dark color. Because it is almost always windless here, the water of the lake remains calm and you can make wonderful reflex images.
