A visit to the Split Apple Rock is a must on a kayak

In the Tasman Bay off the north coast of the South Island of New Zealand is the Split Apple Rock

It looks like a halved apple and is made of granite, a popular tourist attraction in the waters of the Tasman Sea.

a legend tells:
Two Maori gods fought for possession of this large boulder. To settle the dispute, they used their godlike powers and divided the boulder in half
