MAGNOLIA
the porcelain type flower
looks sturdy and evergreen
but it only lasts a few days
when the first petal falls
the corolla crumbles like a deck of cards
scattered on the ground
trampled by the wind
the ovoid pinecone remains
with the seeds that
after drying
are eaten like lupins
---they are very good for the skin---
and if there are some left
you always can plant a new tree
///
MAGNÓLIA
a flor tipo porcelana
parece resistente e perene
mas só dura alguns dias
quando cai a primeira pétala
a corola desmorona-se como baralho de cartas
espalhado no chão
espezinhado pelo vento
perdura a pinha ovoide
com as sementes que
depois de secas
se comem como tremoços
---fazem muito bem à pele---
e se sobrarem algumas
sempre podes plantar uma nova árvore
