PANDEMIC

Viruses have controlled humanity
since the primate's evolution
on the very beginning intelligent beings were hunters and fishermen
now they are predators of endangered species ---
in China people eat domestic animals, bats and alive insects
and wonder if there still are so many to wipeout ---
in the Middle Ages there were more bonfires and forest fires than in the 21st century
but much less carbon dioxide to heat the atmosphere
fatalists without singing fado
the stupid viruses decided to put an end to us
until themselves are extinguished by starvation

then the Earth will again be primitive and unpolluted
by God's irony
the new DNA will be born in the Dead Sea

Desde a evolução dos primatas
os vírus controlam a humanidade
no início os seres inteligentes foram caçadores e pescadores
agora são predadores de espécies em extinção ---
na China comem animais domésticos, morcegos e insectos vivos
e admiram-se que ainda haja tantos para exterminar ---
na Idade Média havia mais fogueiras e incêndios florestais do que no Século XXI
mas muito menos dióxido de carbono a aquecer a atmosfera
fatalistas sem cantarem fado
os estúpidos vírus decidiram acabar connosco
até que eles próprios se extingam por inanição

então a Terra voltará a ser primitiva e impoluta
por ironia de Deus
o novo ADN nascerá no Mar Morto
