it is a beautiful nostalgic photo.
Alan Mays club has replied to Nautilus clubGiven the specialty range of your albums, Alan, I am quite surprised to see that you do not have a "Dogs on Chairs" album, which seems to be quite a common vintage theme! : )
Alan Mays club has replied to Deborah Lundbech clubP.S. I regret to announce that I'm delaying the debut of Cats on Chairs since I currently have only a single feline on one chair. 8)
m off to check it out, after I check out the kitty one! (Rare, indeed, I bet.)
I really do think that the "dog on chair" was a thing back then. (Great pics, by the way.)
I have some too - mostly in the glass plate negatives album and the Michigan album. I might have a few of kids standing on chairs - I definitely have one of a kid sitting on a table!
Also, the tipped chair - I have quite a lot of those!
Perhaps we could compare them (not in charm) to the current annoying tropes of people in photos sticking their tongues out or flipping the bird. : )
