Born in 1941 at Mindelo, she died in her birth city in 2011, at the age of 70. She spread Cape-verdean music through the world, namely "morna", which was classified in 2019 as UNESCO immaterial heritage.

I have never heard of her, I will have to investigate, She might have spread her music around the world but I don't think it touched the UK.
But 5 years ago I had never heard of Camaron de La Isla, either. So I am open to new experiences. You should provide a link to a famous song, perhaps?

I think she had a few concerts in London, both in the Royal Festival Hall and in the Queen Elizabeth Hall. If you check in the years 2001, 2002 and 2007, I believe you can confirm that, Andy.
