This kind of behaviour is quite common. They will take a photo of the approaching train, then while it is stopped move to a different location to make another shot when it leaves. At Minffordd this is easy, just a quick walk along the road.
Since the train is not fast, it is also very common for people to use the ,motorcar to get to the next station before the train does.
In this way, they will get maximum number of photos of a train on the railway during the day. If they are tourists to the area, maybe they only have allowed on day to photograph the railway..
