Wunderschöne alte Kirche. In dieser Ecke waren wir bisher noch nicht.

Herzlichen Dank, Percy! Wenn ich zu Fuß meine Runde durch die Stadt drehe, komme ich da oft vorbei.

Also eine feministische Kirche? ;-) Entsprechend schön schaut sie auch aus und auch die Bänke sind ein Indiz. Frauen sind halt pragmatisch und denken auch mal ans Ausruhen :-))

Schönen Dank, Edna! Liebfrauenkirche zu deutsch. Aber die ist, was man bei uns Vesperkirche nennt- da gibt's Kaffee und was zu essen für Bedürftige/ Wohnsitzlose- nicht nur für Frauen;-)

Gut schwitz- hier war schon um 10 Uhr morgens totale Dampfsauna.....

Wusste ich's doch. Eine feministische Kirche. Würden Männer an Vesper für andere denken?! ;-) Und selbstverständlich verteilen Frauen auch Essen an Männer, so sind halt die Frauen, total selbstlos ;-)))

Oh je, hier fängt's erst immer am Nachmittag an, dafür umso schlimmer. Und es soll nachts zum Ausgleich auch gar nicht abkühlen, grrrrrrr!!! Danke, das wünsche ich dir auch ;-)))

Letzte Nacht 26 Grad in der Bude, nach 2 Stunden Lüften heute früh auf 25 abgekühlt.....
Gewitter gestern gottseidank nur außenrum und nicht direkt in der Stadt- die Karlsruher Gegend hat's ja schlimm erwischt!

Stimmt, aber auch nicht Karlsruhe Stadt (zum Glück), sondern Karlsruhe Land. Die hat's echt schlimm erwischt. Lüften hilft bei diesen Betonklötzern fast gar nichts. Ausser das halt mal ein frischer Luftzug reinkommt. Die halten die Wärme hartnäckig. Jetzt in meiner Bude 29 °C. Super, gell? ;-)))

OIje, das ist übel! Mein Rekord gestern war 27 Grad -ungedämmter Altbau, alle Rollos runter...
Nur langsam bewegen und nachmittags spätestens Laptop runterfahren, damit es nicht noch mehr heizt;-)

Amazing colours of the stonework, especially against the rd tiles on the roof. I have looked at you link and the inside of the church looks very lovely too.

Thanks a lot, Amelia! That greenish stone (copper content?) is also used at Nidaros cathedral, so it must be local. I have never been inside, the ship only stops for 3,5 hours and I never had enough time.

A very attractive looking church Gudrun..............I like the colour and detail in the stonework and the red roofs, and the clocktower looks lovely against the sky.

The light is gorgeous.........and I love the amazing shadows on the walls and roof of the church.

Ich nehme an, das ist Grünschiefer, ein metamorphes Gestein, das auch in Norwegen vorkommt.

Many thanks Gudrun for adding this informations about this respectful church with its essential vocation to help people in bad situation.

In many European cities there are churches like this- we have one in our town... The sad thing is that it's needed.
