St. Georgen, Wismar

St. Georgen, Wismar
de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georgenkirche_(Wismar)

One of three monumental brick gothic churches in Wismar, St. Georgen was first mentioned in the mid 13th century. In its current form it mainly dates from 1404-1594, the spire was never finished.
In April 1945 St.Georgen was badly damaged by bombs and deteriorated further over the years. After the northern transsept collapsed in 1990, the church underwent extensive stabilization, repair and reconstruction which was finished in 2010. Since then it is also in use as a concert venue.

Herzlichen Dank, Volker! Die Altstadt ist schön kompakt und der Bahnhof nicht weit, das schafft man locker in einem Tag;-)
