Pre Rup signifie littéralement "tourner le corps", nom qui pourrait renvoyer à une pratique funéraire. Il fut construit en 961, sous le règne de Rajendravarman. C'est un temple brahmanique, de rite shivaïte, qui a belle allure en fin de journée.
