I got down to the portal at 7:30 and managed to get a shuttle back to Horseshoe (since our original plan was to retrace our path the cars were still there) by a wonderful local name Kurt who does this in his retirement. I got back by 10:00 and picked up R.L. and Jonathan and we camped in the desert, drinking beer until 1:00 a.m. Drew and Anthony got down to a camp around 10,000 ft at 11:00 p.m. I came back for them the next morning.
