Whitney 43

Our route leads to what must be the natural dam of Sky Blue Lake. The way up is unclear but we see a group coming down right across the falls so we just head for their descent. They tell us the route gets a lot worse and when we tell them we're planning to peak Whitney the next day they mockingly tell us No Way, that there are several ledges like this. We only expect two lakes going up so can't see how this could be. The route is starting to not match the description I read.
