Admittedly, a lousy translation of that classical question by a cleaning woman in a museum in Dortmund ("Ist das Kunst oder kann das weg?"), who removed a chalk stain from a wall not knowing that this was part of a work of art by Martin Kippenberger.
My picture shows an installation made exclusively of footwear found on the beach at Dungeness. It was created by one of the artists who have their studios along the road that leads to the old lighthouse and it is, of course, a "work in progress".
